Oh, baby!

February 28, 2018 by Suzanne Woodward

Oh baby…

So you’ve had a baby and you’re ready to have another—that’s great! But did you know that it’s important to practice good preconception self-care for baby #2 (and 3, 4, 5+), too?

You may hear your provider say the word “interconception”—this is the time between pregnancies. Research suggests that it’s best to wait 18 months (1 ½ years) between having a baby and getting pregnant again. During this time, make sure you’re taking care of yourself—this means getting and staying healthy! Talk to your provider about what type preconception care your body needs for THIS pregnancy.
