World Prematurity Day is November 17th.

To kick off the World Prematurity Day awareness activities, PCHHC , March of Dimes and Black Women’s Health Imperative teamed up to host a  #PreemieChat Tweet Chat on November 16th, 12pm ET.

Please join us to share your story or work and help us raise awareness.  Questions we will cover include:

Q1 What is premature birth (PTB)? #PreemieChat

Q2 What are the risk factors for preterm labor/premature birth? #PreemieChat

Q3 What are some of the health problems a premature baby can have after birth? #PreemieChat

Q4 What are the signs and symptoms of preterm labor (PTL)? #PreemieChat

Q5 Are there any preventative measures that can help reduce the risk for PTL/PTB? #PreemieChat

Q6 Does preconception health and wellness impact pregnancy outcomes, such as PTB/infant mortality? #PreemieChat

Q7 Why are there such disparities across the US when it comes to premature birth? What are the associated factors? #PreemieChat

Q8 What strategies can health providers, public health, policymakers implore to improve health disparities of premature birth? #PreemieChat

Q9 US got a “C” on MOD PTB Report Card. Many SE states got a “D” or “F”. What can we do at a community level to make an impact? #PreemieChat
