September is Infant Mortality Awareness Month.
Throughout the month, we have partnered with NICHQ and other organizations to raise awareness of the shockingly high infant mortality rate in the United States. While the Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network to Reduce Infant Mortality (IM CoIIN) public relations campaign is focused on pre- and interconception care, it is also interested in highlighting all of the strategy areas. Their toolkit is designed to help states and local partners leverage this national campaign and draw attention to infant mortality and the work you are doing in your state (see here).
Preconception health and care is critical for healthy families – particularly moms and babies. Take a look at our Show Your Love Knowledge section for quick, easy ways you can make health improvements in your daily life.
